We had a great Shared Event today as part of the EA’s Regional Advisory Group with input from youth workers, representatives from the Irish language and wider youth and sectors and RAG members.
Eamonn and Caoimhe spoke passionately about their own journeys through the IM youth sector, giving us plenty to reflect on for what we’ve achieved and what’s to come.
We also heard from Eliz McArdle and Dr Gail Neill from Ulster University who gave us an insight into the Model for IM youth work. Finally we headed from Sian Rogers from Yr Urdd who gave a fascinating account of Welsh medium youth work.
We all came away with plenty of food for thought following each of the speakers and the lively discussions in the breakout rooms.
